Best HBCUs for Finance Majors in Atlanta
Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College are the only HBCUs for finance majors in Atlanta. They also happen to be two of the 19 HBCU recipients of a $30 million JP Morgan Chase commitment to the financial and career success of students at HBCUs.
This commitment included the creation of The J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Scholarship Program which was built in partnership with UNCF to strengthen career prospects for HBCU students in the wealth management industry (JPMorgan Chase & Co).
This programming will support students who are seeking Finance Degrees at these Atlanta HBCUs.
Clark Atlanta University- Atlanta, GA
Clark Atlanta's School of Business Administration offers students an opportunity to earn an undergraduate degree in Finance. The finance curriculum "is designed to provide students with the tools required for careers in financial management in non-financial corporations, the financial services industry, and not-for-profit organizations."
Clark also offers a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
Morehouse College- Atlanta, GA
Morehouse's business administration degree offers a concentration in finance requiring students to take 15 hours of finance courses beyond the business and general education requirements. Many of Morehouse's Finance alumni go on to find employment in private equity, banks, hedge funds, wealth management and corporate finance.
