HBCUs in Arkansas will powerfully unify tomorrow on National Career Development Day to present a new type of career fair modeled in the spirit of Black Wall Street. This one-day Black Wall Street (BWS) career fair will help connect HBCU students and graduates based in Little Rock, AR with employment, internships, volunteering opportunities and more.

This event is a partnership/sponsorship between Philander Smith College (PSC), The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), Shorter College (SC), and Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) on the campus of Arkansas Baptist College.

This national 'Arkansas HBCU Black Wall Street Career Fest’ has asked dozens of African American employers, educational leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors to provide career options, internships, graduate school plans, military opportunities, entrepreneurship support, volunteer & job opportunities for HBCU learners.

From 1880 to 1950, America had over 80 other Black Wall Street metro areas beyond Tulsa, Oklahoma's Greenwood district. The aim of this event is to honor these late 19th & early 20th-century hubs as a throwback to Black American foundations to better support future 21st-century HBCU graduates.
